Jungle Junction,
Victoria Falls, Zambia
Situated on Livingstone Island in the middle of the Zambezi River about 35kms upstream from Victoria Falls on the Zambian side of the Zambezi, Jungle Junction has a number of rustic jungle huts comfortably furnished and with stunning views over the Zambezi.
The island itself is incredible - truly a jungle environment with paths leading to quiet shady spots where you are likely to find a hammock or a chess table. There is a natural swimming pool with a sun deck . Be warned! many guests book into Jungle Junction for three days and end up staying three weeks - and that is not uncommon. The atmosphere at Jungle Junction is one of the most relaxing and enjoyable of any African Camp
Central shower and toilets are clean and well designed, taking a shower is a fun experience involving filling a bucket with hot water and hoisting it in place by pulley.
Three good meals are provided each day, and the bar is the centre of evening entertainment with many guests showing off their talent for music.
Regular
transport facilities between the Camp and the Victoria
Falls border post are available free of charge, or at
US$20 if you want to lay-on private transport at a time
to suit you.
From Jungle Junction you
will out on Safari in a Mokoro - a dug-out canoe poled
along by your Guide. There are numerous islands to
explore, viewing the abundant bird-life, going in search
of hippos and otters, or doing some fishing in the
traditional fashion. Visiting the local village gives an
exceptional view of traditional African village life. A
visit to the natural 'jacuzzi' is a 'must'
The Victoria Falls are not only a marvellous natural phenomena, but also a centre for numerous 'adrenaline' activities including:

All of these facilities can be organised before* your arrival at jungle Junction, or whilst you are there. *advisable during July, August and December
Please Note that Jungle Junction no longer offers Camping facilities which are now on their 'sister camp' Bovu Island just a few Kilometres away.
